Vumbuka Trust Social Development Project-Ndawonye Primary School

Nelson Mandela once stated that “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”. On 31st of January 2019 Vumbuka Trust had an official hand-over of combination desks at Ndawonye Primary School.  The school was established in 1992 and is currently under Mrs. MR Magagula as the principal. The school has over 850+ students from Thandukukhanya Community. The school has been having severe problems with classroom furniture for the past 10 years. The majority of chairs and tables were broken down and some kids were even sitting on paint buckets.

The School deputy principal at the time applied for furniture funding for two consecutive years from Vumbuka Trust and they were approved R30 000 in 2017 and R40 000 for 2018 to buy furniture totalling R70 000. The school bought 60 double combination desks for Grade 1-2 learners.  As part of the social development programme Vumbuka Trust aims at uplifting, developing and supporting educational programmes and schools at Mkhondo as well as areas that the TWK Group operates in.–Vumbuka Trust, let’s make a difference, together.
